Hi friends - I’m moving this week’s free writing salon for paid subscribers to tomorrow, Friday at 12PM EST / 9AM PST as I’ll actually be in the air on Saturday and won’t be able to host. I enjoyed meeting folks at last week’s salon and got a lot of work done, and I hope to see some of you tomorrow as well!
To catch you up if you have no idea what I’m talking about - I’m hosting writing sessions an hour each week until my book manuscript revisions are due. These are free to paid subscribers and sliding scale for everyone else. The next one after tomorrow’s is Saturday, March 16th. I’ll be in Hong Kong, so I’m still figuring out what time makes sense for next week. Depending on how much work I still have left to do it might just be a marathon session you can hop in and out of. Truly no pressure - it’s more so I have some company crossing the finish line.
The general framework of these sessions is simple enough: You can ask writing questions for the first 15 minutes - I’m happy to offer advice within that timeframe, and anyone else on the call can chime in - and then you are welcome to join me in a silent co-working session for the remainder of the session. There’s no pressure to share or show your own work. We’ll just be body doubling each other as we push towards our own finish lines. These kinds of gatherings have always helped me in the past, and I know it will help me in the coming weeks. So I’d like to invite you in!
Here’s the login info (I’ll likely add folks in manually to mitigate bombers and weirdos). It is totally free to paid subscribers of this newsletter, and if you aren’t one, you can just Venmo me whatever you’d like in order to join at @Arabelle-Sicardi or on Paypal. If it’s a dollar, it’s a dollar! I’ll put anything I get into my little fund I’m putting towards my fact-checking invoice, which is, I will be transparent with you, many thousands of dollars. It is totally worth it, but I appreciate every measure of support put towards covering it.
